Robert joined Silverback in April 2021 and leads Business Development and Investor Relations.
Prior to joining Silverback, he was an Account Executive at SAS Institute, where he advised executives in asset management and banking on software and emerging technology solutions to optimize their data analytics processes. Robert founded the firm MaRa Associates Consulting in 2016, where he worked with emerging hedge funds, research providers and FinTech companies to establish and optimize their market engagement and business development practices.
Before founding MaRa Associates, he was the Head of Investor Relations at Hathersage Capital Management, a global macro hedge fund. Robert started his career as an Institutional Trading Analyst with Best Execution Trading Service in 1998. He then held various positions at Lazard Asset Management, Morgan Stanley Investment Management, and New York Life Investment Management, covering corporate pensions, endowments, and foundation clients.
Robert graduated from Duke University with a dual degree in Political Science and History in 1998, and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business in 2008.
